FIND YOUR AUTHENTIC FLOW...
We all need a strong, secure connection to Self to help sustain our vitality, strength, inspiration, and creativity. The first step in connecting to Self begins with discovering our natural cadence. Honoring our unique rhythms and tempos helps us reclaim our authentic Self. Soon we flow easily and effortlessly until we are finally ready to cascade. It takes great courage to trust, let go and plunge into the great mysteries of the unconscious below. But the rewards are invigorating. Cascading teaches us that our greatest obstacles cannot be overcome by pushing against the bedrock but rather by allowing our life force to flow freely downstream with greater direction, intention, and purpose. The more we flow the more we feel empowered to join in co-creation. We discover that our greatest power comes from connecting and joining in downstream relationship with others. Fully embracing waterfall living builds new bridges to magical, mystical landscapes transmuting our inner light into rainbows.
People that flow together, grow together.
The rapids await you, where you are never alone. I invite you to join me in cascading courageously into the
GREAT PLUNGE POOL OF LIFE!
I firmly believe and affirm the philosophy that You have a PhD in YOU. True healing comes not from discovering but rather reclaiming your unique, authentic rhythms. I employ a combination of established energetic practices and evidenced based practices tailored to meet your specific needs to balance, repair and replenish your body, mind and soul resulting in a watershed of creativity, balance and wellbeing.
My approach is highly improvisational, individualized and holistic. Using art, music, movement, and creative writing I join clients in playful creative arts therapy interventions which resonate, celebrate, and validate your original cadence. My co-creative process will invite you to explore, express, process and engage in dialogue with your true self and reclaim your authentic flow.
I specialize in attachment and complex trauma and employ a multi-modal approach incorporating client centered, trauma informed, culturally sensitive creative arts therapy interventions. I have almost 30 years of experience working with children and families in music and expressive arts modalities. I received my Masters of Art in Music Therapy from New York University and hold advanced trainings in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT), Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), HealthRHYTHMS® Group Empowerment Drumming, and Vibrational Medicine/Sound Therapy. I'm also certificated in a variety of psychosensory techniques including Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (AF-EMDR), Havening® Techniques, HeartMath™ and Level 2 Reiki. In addition to music therapy, I hold an advanced/professional certificate from Stella Adler Conservatory in Classical Acting. My clinical practice is rooted in renowned Second City founder Viola Spolin’s improvisational tenant of “Yes, And!”; acknowledging a client’s unique cadence moment to moment while focusing upon expanding and enhancing the authentic self in the music and beyond.
